1997 Saturn LS1

Does anyone know if a 1997 Saturn LS1 engine will fit in a 2000 LS2 Saturn?

1. It might.

The platform changed in either 2000 or 2001. Matter of fact, I don't think they made the LS line before 2000. I think they were SL before then. The SL had a 1.9 inline 4, the LS had a 2.2 or 2.3 inline 4. The LS also offered a V6 as an option I think, so I'm sure that there's space to fit it. Might be a matter of engine mounts, etc and mating the transmission.
