| OK, I am seriously thinking about "stimulating" the economy a bit and buying a new car |
|
Think I may be suffering from a bad case of the "new car blues." I don't need a new car but I really want one bad. And my wife has given me the OK and her 2004 Taurus to trade in on the new one I want. Its going to be either a Mustang GT, Camaro SS or Challenger SRT8.
I am a Ford retiree so my brain tells me to stick with Ford. But my heart is saying Challenger. I think the new Challenger is one of the most beautiful cars in the world. I felt the same way when I bought a new one in 1973 right before I started working at Ford. Damn I liked that car. It was a black one. If I get a new one its going to be white.
Out of the three which one you guys think looks the best?

| 1. Which one looks the best? |

Ugh, I can't believe I'm saying this. I like the Challenger SRT8 of the three for the best looks. That car looks good from every single angle. Also, of the three, I think it sounds the best.
Were I spending my money? Around here, for the price of one of those rides brand new, I could buy an extremely low mileage Corvette (2007 vert or 2008 coupe). And I would.

| 2. I got to have at least three seats |
|
Two grandsons to drive around.
Two-seat Corvette won't do it for me. Though I do like the resale on them. The resale on the Camaro is real high too. It just doesn't remind me enough of the old Camaros.

even though Ford was the one US auto manufacturer who didn't take bailout money. The Challenger, though, just looks too good.

| 4. i'm in the same situation, especially as the model year closes out |

except the Chally isn't a serious consideration for me...
currently the top choices are 2010 Camaro SS, Mustang GT with a track pack, or Nissan 370Z...It will all depend on what deals I can find in late spring...

| 7. We bought a Camaro last week. |
|
A 1LT IOM. This is our third Camaro. We had a '67 and a '76. Loved them both.
The fact that they are built in Oshawa Ontario with engines built in St. Catherins Ontario doesn't hurt either.
