Can a patch plug work its way out of a tire? Last summer I had a tire |
|
patched because a nail had been in the tire.
Yesterday afternoon, I saw something on the tire, looked like an oily piece of rubber or plastic. I touched it with a kleenex in my hand and it seemed to be fixed to the tire.
I went to a tire place a few miles away and had them look at the tire. They didn't see the oily plug, or whatever it was. (Of course.)
The tire is still inflated right now, but I'm concerned it might suddenly go flat on me.

1. Whatever it was probably came off as you drove. |

Just check the air pressure of that tire a couple of times a week and if it is losing air take it to be fixed. Plugs are usually permanent as they bulge on both sides of the hole.
