So what's the most fuel-efficient 6-seater new family car? The Mazda 5? |
|
I am looking to purchase a new car but it has to carry 6.
Any ideas?
I have my eyes on the Mazda 5.
Open to advice.

It's the only one with a 4-cyl. It's supposed to be a pretty entertaining drive, esp. with the 5-speed stick shift. The newest Odyssey minivan can run on 6,4, or 3 cylinders and gets very good mileage for an 8-passenger 4300 lb vehicle. If your 5th and 6th person is big you prob want to test them out in the Mazda5, those 3rd row seats aren't huge, and there's not much cargo space with them in use (nothing a rooftop carrier can't fix).
Nothing beats sliding doors either. If I lived in a more urban place (my town is urban but not like NYC-urban) the Mazda5 would be the ultimate family vehicle.
