http://jalopnik.com/397423/drowned-cadillac-and-skeletal-ranchero-await-resurrection-in-washington-storage-yardI keep thinking about asking the owner of the storage locker who owns the Calais. I would have to make sure the SO never knew about it. ;) Anyway, I was proud.

1. I remember our first Caddy in 1956 |

My dad brought home our first Caddy in 1956. It was big, it was bad, it was a POS. The old man was so proud of it. All I really remember was the radio. It supposedly had a "station finder" where the little bar would automatically crawl across the radio dial and was supposed to stop on a station. What it really did was crawl across, jump back, crawl across, jump back, until you turned the car off to make it stop. All the electric windows quit working save the drivers door. Almost everything was broken when we traded it in 1959 for a new Deville. We were ready for take off with the gigantic fins.
