Since DU has its' spiffy new journals that means there's a lot of new and potential bloggers out there. But blogging can be confusing to a newbie because its' developed its own distinct subculture and there's a lot of technical jargon to figure out.
Brainshrub has been doing his part here at DU to help newbies use their journals more effectively by publishing an excellent
series of tutorials in his DU journal. Surprisingly, another great resource is the Scottish government!
It looks like if you want to be a teacher in Scotland you need to know a little something about blogs (it's on the test!) and so they've put together an informative and useful wiki on the subject. Be sure to check out this e-book by the Scottish Qualifications Authority --
Weblogs: An Introduction.
