| Any ideas?Copyrighted old name/Get new blog old blog's position on Google? |

Hey all, I had a blog where I just posted the regular "oh me oh my" sort of thing. It's about two years old now, and I don't write on it anymore. But, it's on Google's first page-well, LOL, when I search for it.
I'm trying to start a new blog, but I don't want to use the same name because this time I'm going to try to earn a bit of money, and the old name is a play on a copyrighted cartoon character. I want to avoid any trouble... I do like the old name better though. I just don't want to have any trouble, if I do make any money down the line, with Disney/WarnerBros. whoever owns it--and have to change my name anyway.
Should I just keep the old blog? Is there no way to get the new name/blog the same Google "fame" as the old one besides linking to it from the old site? I'm thinking not, but I'm up for suggestions.

| 1. Change the name of the blog, but keep the URL. |

Blogger. com (Google-based) keeps the original URL when you change the name of your blog.
