I am thinking of getting a tattoo. I grew up in Seattle, and Salish art is omnipresent, and some of the most distinctive and beautiful art I've ever seen. More than anything else, Salish art reminds me of home, and since I no longer live in Seattle, I was thinking of getting a tattoo of a Salish design. My question to you guys: is it ok for a white kid to get a tattoo of a Salish design?

..that would be Sacred for starters. Also, some tribes have symbols that are specific to a clan and its members. Since you're not a member of any clan - those you would want to avoid.
