Exhibit opening and reception at UN today

At 6:10 p.m. today, 17 May, the exhibit for this sesssion of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues will be opened with a "cultural event".

Various indigenous groups will preform: the Silver Cloud Singers (Native American), Kamakakuokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies and Ka Lahui Hawai'i (the Hawaiian Nation); Salasaca Kuna (Quechua); and the Oglalal Lakhota Delegation.

A reception will follow. (There is usually dancing.)

The public is welcome. The entrance to the Public Lobby is on First Avenue at about 46th Street.
