What is the origin of the "Ten Indian Commandments"
this is a very popular poster on college campuses, that's about all I know. It sounds real nice and all, but is it based on a particular tribe's creed or something? The word "Indian" leads me to believe it's just more exploitation. Or is it a little of both? I wonder who owns the copyright.

1. modern stuff
lots of great thoughts...but not a traditional or even tribal thing...i've heard some people claim it has some connection to some tribe somewhere...but there is no universal native American creed.
probably some new agers high on green tea wrote it down then posted it on the internet....then the rest is history...

2. actually some of these tenets
are directly contradictory to some tribes ethos...especially the warriors...the crow and Blackfoot and apache certainly have a different take on some of these "comandments"...

the more i read this thing the more laughable it becomes...
