Another confrontation at a Kauai construction site today.
Protestors gathered on the island's North Shore, to stop work on a home they say is being built over an ancient burial site.
The landowner, found remains when he first started building in 1999. There are about 30 graves there, and the owner says he has spoken with the island's burial council, as well as revised his floor plan 15 times.
Groups protested in late June, with Kauai's police chief saying construction could not begin until the law was examined.
A few weeks later, Chief Darryl Perry said after examination, the owner had not broken any laws on grave desecration ...
