| Hello all, haven't been in here for a while |
|
and for that I share a profound apology.
I hope that all of you are doing well, my wife turtlelowe and I have been going on an up/down rollercoaster ride as of late.
We have been trying to adopt through Cherokee Nation for a couple of years, and finally we have pushed through the red tape. In mid August of this last year our home got certified for Adoption, and all the paperwork that we had to deal with was completed.
Our case worker has stated that we should have a child placed in home withing 1-3 months. My wife and I are on extreme eggshells...:) When we do get children placed the issue of confidentiality will be prominent, so we can't share to much until the adoption is finalized. I can't express just how tedious/happy this journey has been.
So, whats been going on in your neck of the woods?....:)

After pushing through all the red tape, getting certified and dealing with all the paperwork it will be a pleasure for you to deal with a (laughing)crying baby for a change. It must be a very exciting time for you both. I visited the Nation in June and applied for my tribal membership. My birth certificate had been filed for so many years that they couldn't feel the raised state seal on the face of it, so I had to start all over again and apply by mail. Currently up at the window is March 2008, so I'll quit holding my breath until I receive my credentials. I finished my novel. That's what up with me. :hi:
