Hi, Honeys - - I'm home!

Actually, I was home at 7:30 (central time) & watched about 15 minutes of the show before I fell asleep. :P

I took the whole day off, visiting places in Madison, ate lunch at the Olive Garden (!), saw my childhood home, then my hometown (Fort Atkinson) and visited w/friends before going to see Dad again.

Southern WI has suddenly developed several new lakes in the area. Unfortunately, many of them are near, and even ON several highways. I had to strategically plan how to get to Dad's, and even then, I had to drive through standing water. :scared: Worst flooding I've ever seen in the area.
I ended up driving through Milwaukee (Hi, ralps!) on the way home, since all roads in Jefferson County had water on them, or major detours. Oh, and just for fun: my rear window in my car broke as I was trying to put it up. Had to ride home w/the window open. Thank God it didn't rain until the last 15 minutes of my ride.

Sigh. I have a meeting tomorrow night. It MIGHT be a short one, since the chair is out of town. I hope to see y'all soon!!

Better not tell anyone you ate at the Olive Garden. Otherwise, though, sounds like a good day, except for that rear window. At least you made it through the water.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so I have to wait before I can get the window fixed. At least I have another car to use! (thanks, Dad!)

Today, I went to the Pet Supermarket in Madison... and I got to meet some ferrets in person! Mercy! I didn't know they were so.. odorific. But I sure love their tiny little claws! One li'l guy came right up to me and grabbed my finger. I thought of Gizmo. :)
