1. Was it on at 2, or did they rerun the whole opening ceremonies all night?

Unfortunately all this preemption is causing some DU'ers to conclude that Keith is taking the Olympics off. He didn't say he was, and he didn't in 2004--in fact, MSNBC deliberately kept him on Countdown rather than having him anchor their Olympic coverage then, despite the fact that they originally rehired him in 2003 with an eye to using him as an Olympics anchor--so I don't see why anyone should assume that he'd be taking off this year. He didn't in 2006, either. But especially during the Summer Games, they'd never preempt his show, because it's an election year.
