17. I tried that once, when I lived in NC.

The problem was the grass grew very fast underneath, and when I went to mow/mulch, the mower got hopelessly clogged. It took hours to take care of. Yeech.

20. I always leave the leaves in the beds but one year we didn't get

them off the lawn in time and it looked really, really bad in the spring. My husband is having back troubles and hasn't been able to do the leaves in the backyard -- the front is easy because they can just be blown into the street. Our neighbors came over today and did a lot of the backyard for him. It was so sweet of them.

25. I have 9 - - yes, NINE deciduous trees in my yard.

One of them is a 100 year old Maple that towers over the neighborhood. Since my neighbors put up a fence, now I get ALL the leaves. I counted once - at least 25 garbage barrels full (as I was totin' 'em to the gutter). And that's compacted, too.
