Better late than never, hon! Glad to see you made it. I'm sorry you have to part ways with your church, but you can always join another church when you're ready. Give it time and pray for guidance. Wherever He sends you, know it's for a very good reason. I'm a Missionary so I know all about the politics in the church. I was a member at one church (large in part 'cause my family attended) for 12 years and I saw every negative aspect of drama imaginable so it was obvious that it was time for me to move on. The church I'm at now (for almost 7 years) has been a true blessing to me and well worth the sacrifice. That's pretty much it in a nutshell but I can PM you to give you the rest of the story if you like.

BTW, a shiny kitchen floor is a great thing!

I was talking with one of our members, and she told me that God's been doing everything possible to get these people to turn away from their country club mentality and turn to him, but they're refusing to listen. Then, bless her, she said "you were probably their best chance to get right with God, but they ran you out... and God is not pleased."

It's a long, drawn-out story, and some day I might tell it. But for now, I just have to shake the dust from my feet and walk away.
Just keep me in your prayers as I look for a job and a place to live.
