if it's true she already has an iPod, then there's a "Royal playlist" out there waiting to be dicovered. How many different versions of God Save the Queen do you think are on it? Did she include the Sex Pistols version? I doubt it.

| 31. Reminds me, though, of a show I saw the other night about a guy |
|
who got into the palace, back in the 70's or 80's, I believe. He thought the Queen was his girlfriend (yes, his cheese had definitely slid off his cracker). At one point, while he was prowling around trying to find her bedroom, he got angry and broke a glass ashtray, cutting his hand.
He finally found her bedroom, and the guard outside her door had gone out to walk the corgi's. Guy goes into the room, and ends up sitting at the foot of the Queen's beds, glass in hand, dripping blood.
The Queen has to be the most amazing person in the world at keeping her cool. She got him to keep talking long enough for the guard to come back, and together they persuaded the guy to leave the bedroom with promises of cigarettes. Then, of course, they arrested him. He had gained access to the palace by climbing up a rain spout.
My god, if that had been me, I'm not so sure I could have remained as cool as the Queen did in that kind of situation.
Needless to say, palace security was beefed up after that!

Also, Keith has been totally silent on the topic of Big Eddie being on the show, whereas Eddie himself has been plugging it..."We're gonna talk about the floods in Fargo...and other stuff." (Deliberately softpedaling the "other stuff.")

The simulations show that the President’s budget proposal would lead to a negative change in jobs relative to a policy baseline over the 5-year and 10-year budget horizon.
In contrast, the simulation of the Republican alternative budget shows a steady increase in jobs relative to a policy baseline over the 5 and 10-year budget horizon. By the fifth year (2014), the economy would produce roughly 855,000 more jobs under the alternative budget than the baseline path, according to the simulation. Under the President’s budget, the economy would be producing more than 1.2 million fewer jobs than the baseline path in 2014, according to the same economic model. Therefore, the alternative budget implies a net increase of more than 2 million jobs compared to the President’s budget by 2014.

Well, at least she's not in the studio with him, so it's not direct.
Someone even wrote her today and said the only good thing about going on O'Reilly is that it may lead to her going on Olbermann!

Let's remember, folks: this is a man who DATED Laura Ingraham. :scared:
He probably thought he could "change" her through the magic of his love.
Either that, or to his mind she was just blonde and hot, and he was paying no attention to the venom spewing from her mouth.

She thrives on that stuff. The nasty e-mails she got all last night bothered me more than they bothered her.

|
They called her every name in the book. The few she got from our side were good. The other side comes out of the woodwork everytime she's on Fox. The lunatic wing of the right wing, that is. Supposedly that's not the majority of the audience -- more of them are more in the middle (so they say). It's painful, but it's good exposure for her, even if half their audience hates her and thinks she's a socialist liberal blonde without a brain in her head. I think a lot of their anger at Obama is directed at her.

I know you said she has a strong constitution, and that's good. But geez, that kind of thing would have to get to you now and then.

Ed says he and Keith share a sportscasting past, a birthday and an appetite for what's going on in the country.
I was gonna say, they look as if they both share an appetite, period.

That's excellent news. I think Big Ed will be a great addition to the lineup, but I'm glad they're not throwing Shuster under the bus either. He deserves to be rewarded for all his hard work.

| 112. I just want to know if Ed is going to try to continue to do radio |
|
It takes a lot to prepare for a three-hour radio show, leave alone a three-hour radio show AND a TV show. I don't see how it's humanly possible to do both for very long. I sure hope he quits doing radio, which opens up a slot on a lot of radio stations around the country. Some stations now play Thom on delay if they have Ed live (and maybe there are some that do the opposite). Now everyone could have Thom on live at noon Eastern and some of them will need a show for 3:00 Eastern. Hmmmmmm....I wonder who would love to fill that slot for them? Anyone? Bueller?

But seriously, I don't know how long he'd be able to keep that up either. You'd think it'd open up opportunities for Nancy.
One technical question about Countdown: Why is it that now, every time Keith throws to Rachel, the sound quality automatically descends to the point where he sounds like he's talking from the bottom of a well?
