Will she still be Secretary of State or did she have to resign to be in the Senate primary? I hope she can still serve in that capacity. Is Fisher a Blue Dog or is he an okay guy?

She will serve out her term as Sec. of State in Ohio.
I will vote for Fisher but he really went bottom of the barrel in his campaign and the DSCC and the Ohio Democratic Party wanted to anoint him as the party nominee and worked very hard to freeze Jenny out.
The odds of Fisher winning in the general election are dicy at best. America doesn't need any more old white guys in the senate. Lee = old white guy.

I just talked to Jennifer last week in person and I have been in daily connect w/ her over the last 2 weeks she really is one of the good ones.

Sounds familiar, only they forced Nancy out even before they got to the primary.

Hi Tom,
You have been a wonderful supporter. I'm working on an email to supporters now. Here are a couple of lines for you to post:
Our campaign broadened the progressive base in Ohio. We fought to make people matter more than money. We were outflanked in money, endorsements and establishment pushback, but with the support of a broad and diverse group of activists who helped us get our message to other Ohioans, we pulled off a campaign that has amazed many. We were outspent 4 to 1 overall and on broadcast media 100% to 0. We can take what we learned and help new candidates of all races, nationalities, gender, orientation and age become part of our government, so that our government looks and thinks more like us.
Thanks for your friendship, great ideas and support, Tom.

I was disappointed too, but I sensed she would lose. Not just because of Fisher's dirty tricks but simply because she had no money for ads. Fisher was on TV every 2 seconds and he had all the name recognition. Jenny had none. Of the people who bothered to go to the polls, few probably had any idea who the people on the ballot were, and I don't doubt many voted for him because they saw his ads. As far as the ads went he might as well have been running unopposed.
