It's finally warm here today!! It's 83; we haven't even approached 80 degrees since last September. :wow:

Seattle is gorgeous when it's hot and sunny.

We were going through a little bit of the same thing with Dwayne Wade. But since this is Miami, no one would have been upset if he went somewhere else for more money. We're used to that. It's actually more surprising that he stayed. :)

8. There's a stiff, cool breeze blowing too, which is nice. However,

it doesn't do much for my car, which was sitting in a hot unshaded parking lot all day. I opened the door to get in, and the heat just sucked my breath out of my body!

As far a sports stars, as much as I love sports, I could do without a lot of the media worship that some of the sports figures get. :eyes:

I won't be here Friday. We're volunteers for the Antiques Roadshow this weekend, and there's orientation. As volunteers we're each allowed to bring two items. I have to start digging after dinner. Sadly, I don't think I have a Tiffany lamp or an Andrew Wyeth painting in the closet. :( I'd settle for a picture with either of the Keno brothers -- although a picture with both would be divine.

The media were crazy here when he was holding court with all the various team reps, yes. Amazing.

19. I saw some fashion show from Brazil the other day

and it was clear the designer hated models. Perhaps one could even surmise from the clothes, which made even models look like they had ginormous behinds, that he hates women, too. Those shoes were ridiculoulsly high platforms which were narrower than the sole of the shoe, like extreme geisha sandals. They were also wearing large brimmed hats with wide black ribbons hanging down in front of their faces, so they couldn't see where they were going.
