Wild 'dopey' bears used to guard marijuana crop in Canada

A pair of marijuana growers used a team of wild animals including black bears,
raccoons and pigs to guard their illegal drugs operation near the US-Canadian border, police said.

The fully-grown and well-fed bears were so lax at guard duties that officers managed to pose for pictures within a few
feet of the tame animals.

Local conservation experts said that by feeding the bears, the marijuana growers had delivered "a death sentence”. Officials are
now deciding whether to put the animals down.
