| Do you think Bernie Ward is anti-semetic? |
|
Last night Bernie said he has a "distain for Israelis", one night when he admitedly had been drinking wine, he went on a rant about Israel. He doesn't seem to make a distinction between, the Sharon government, Israelis and Jews. Has anyone picked up on this? Am I being too sensitive? I do not approve of Sharon, but not all Jews do. It's a touchy subject and I would like another's opionion. Bernie is a brilliant guy and I like very much listening to him, but I am getting increasingly annoyed. I have emailed him once, and asked for a clarification. Unfortunately, he doesn't answer his e-mails. Please reply, I would like you input, thanks.

of the UC Berkeley/Cal State SF "Street Theater."
At times I justturn him off. But, somehow, I tune in again a few days latter.
It's a hang over from the 1960's when "Questioning Authority" and "Protesting" were the "Thing" - without regard to the authority that was being questioned or the target that was being protested.
I like Bernie - and I listen to him --> but realize, he lives in Berkeley and works for a San Francisco radio station, and is into the 1960's milieu. (40 years later - some 60's radicals are still 60's radicals).
This is the same attitude that motivated the vote by the SF Supervisors on the USS Iowa.
It's what I simultaneously love and hate about our private little world of "Metropolitan San Francisco" - even from down here in Silicon Valley.
