I have been having these strange pains in my mouth. I thought it was my teeth, then gums, then face.
I figured it out a little while ago. It is Trigeminal Neuralgia. MS strikes again! Just lovely!
I think that I am having a flare. Whine, whine, whine.

Although I am informed that I may not have trigeminal neuralgia because if I did, I would be ready to commit suicide. So, I guess that I do have to call the dentist and neurologist.
Luckily, my optic neuritis has been confined to a great deal of pain in the eyes.

3. I've had that too. Even went to the dentist |
|
as I was sure I had a cavity. It eventually went away. Now I'm having a bit of a numb tongue but it's manageable. One time, the inside of my mouth was so numb that I could have had a root canal without Novocaine. I swear, it was that numb! Always something interesting with this disease. I'm just glad most of it seems to go away . . . eventually (for me anyway). Hang in there.

4. Want Some Cheese With That Whine? |
|
Kidding, of course. Whining and complaining in the company of others who get it is why we're on this group!
I get the mandibular pain at times as well. Same cause, of course. When i first got it, i thought it was an earache. Then, a doctor thought it was TMJ syndrome. Went to an oral surgeon, and he said everything was so well lined up that it was almost impossible to be TMJS.
He looked at the chart and saw MS, and told me to call my neuro. My neuro's response was basically "Oh that will happen with MS." Not much one can do but grind it out. (Pun intended.)
Take care. The Professor
