Are NSAIDS recommended to prevent flares of auto-immune disorders? |
|
I'm looking for a web site that may discuss this. I've seen a lot of references about using NSAIDS to treat flares of RA and related disorders, but I'm curious if a low level maintenance dose is effective in preventing flares.

1. Be careful, depending on the specific auto-immune disease, it could make it worse. |

For example, my son has an auto-immune kidney disease (IgA Nephropathy) and NSAIDs are strictly forbidden. In fact, in prescription doses, they can be fatal for him.
I don't know about RA, but I would definitely ask a doc.
