i have been taking this for about a week. my sleep is getting messed up, and i am so cranky today. calling the doc tomorrow, but damn, i am sick of the med go round. it has helped the leftover neuro symptoms, but i have no use for psyche symptoms. grrrrr.

I already have dizziness problems due to low BP....that med intensified it tenfold. I hope it works for you.

trying to get in the hang of an afternoon pill. too used to morning and bedtime. it definitely makes it hard to sleep in i take it too late. it clearly helps my remaining symptoms, but don't think it is really doing anything for the fibro in general. always hard for me to pick out the emotional stuff. feel like i am a little hyped that way. got 2 weeks till i see the neuro again. if i don't like it by then, i think i will just go back to the neurontin.

My doctor had me try it at night. Odd...it made me feel all zombie-like like I said, but wide awake. You'd think that the dizziness would wear off by morning, but not a chance. My doctor said that Lyrica is nearly the same drug as Neurontin.

i never took the neurontin late in the day, either. morning, afternoon, that is it. i am very protective of my sleep. i sleep too much, but if something is making it hard to fall asleep, or waking my in the middle of the night, forget it. i think i will adapt to it, just gotta take a little time to get used to it. one in the morning was helping some. it does do more if i get the 2 doses. i have been known to have that kind of reaction to drugs. traxadone didn't agree with me, either. it was great for a while, but it did start to get to me. low dose, too. is right. just keep trying till you find the placebo you like, i guess.

I took Trazodone for a short time (maybe 2 months tops....low dose) to help with sleep as well as to help the fibro. It didn't do a thing for the fibro., but it knocked me out! I'm talking within 20 minutes of taking it. I eventually decided to wean off of it and holy cow.....the withdrawal was something else. (crying jags, shaking, nervousness, brain zaps, etc.) It was NOT what I was expecting after only 2 months of low-dose use!

My doctor mentioned trying Lyrica to help my Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy I have in my left foot that I got from my third back surgery. I'm been taking Opana for pain and it helps a lot but does make me sleepy sometimes. I tried Neurontin several times, but it didn't seem to help. Sounds like Lyrica would be a bad idea. I'm sick of the med go round too. Sometimes meds sound helpful but end up making you miserable. Effexor for depression made me a zombie.

| 9. I take lyrica twice a day and swear by it |
|
Give it a few weeks and the dizziness will go away. I had the worse neuropathy, they had me on narcotics and when I started with a neurologist he started me on it and within 2 weeks I didn't need pain meds.
