Scares the crap out of me, too. So far, I've managed to get away with relatively cheap drugs to control my Diabetes and various autoimmune diseases. But...what if I end up with something that cost $1000?
I hate pharmaceutical companies. It's ludicrous what they are allowed to get away with. It's government mandated mafia tactics.

I have an expensive medication I'm taking for asthma. It's called Xolair, and it costs about 2,000 a month or more. I have been lucky in that I only pay the $30 co-pay a month so far. If it changes to a higher co-pay, I don't know what I'll do. This medicine has literally been life-altering for me.
