MAJOR stress and the goddamn insulin-dependent diabetes--HELP! |
|
Marriage woes--big ones--still hoping it will work out, but in the meantime it's sheer wackiness on my bGs. Of course I'm in touch with the MD but any advice anyone can help me with?
Much appreciated, thanks.

2. You made me smile at least--that hasn't happened much lately. |

Mr. is having serious doubts about the other now; it almost raises the stress level more.
He's a very good dad, so he gets spared, but as for her; well I believe in karma so I bestter stop there...
Thanks for the hugs and the giggle and backatcha.

3. Oh man, I know that story.... |

Emotional stress always makes my numbers spike... ugh. Are you on a pump, or injections? I'm on a pump, and I tend to try to be pro-active and take some insulin when the stress level reaches the point where I know it will raise my number. I don't always remember, but sometimes is better than none, right? ((hugs)) for you!

4. Emotional stress raises your cortisol levels |
|
and that's what's making your BGs shoot to the stratosphere. Whatever happens in your marriage, the BGs will go back to normal once you get a final answer and the dust settles. Until then, expect to have to cover your increased blood sugar every time you test. Oh goody.
Your marriage might or might not survive this. A lot of guys realize they don't really want to follow their dicks out of a marriage when the wife holds the door open for them to go. A lot of other guys do.
Whatever happens, you'll survive. Oh, and Karma will get the floozy, too, as either he'll go back to you or he'll dump her in the future for somebody else who flatters him and boosts his sagging libido.
I've been where you are and you'll survive. Stress and lupus aren't a very good combination, either.
