1. The surgery to remove it is nasty |
|
but the recovery is fast. Surgery is the only way to resolve it permanently, and it beats a lifetime spent needing to have infections nd/or fluid drained.
It's what kept Limbag out of the military, supposedly. Since it's so easily correctable, I question that. Personally, I think he was too fat and too gay for the military during Vietnam.

2. Damn, Warpy, you say the surgery is nasty? |
|
My daughter's been suffering with the pain, has received antibios and pain stuff at E.R., Surgery set for Wed. I just moved into new place, she's in NJ, I'm in MD. So, 'nasty' how? (I'm only online intermittently, as don't have internet at home yet)

3. She won't be able to sleep on her back or sit comfortably |
|
until it heals. That's what I mean about nasty. Uncomfortable, inconvenient, and unless she throws a moon at some Republican, she can't show off the scar.
Just let her be a whining crybaby for the six weeks or so it'll take to heal. She will have earned it.
Just keep reminding her it's the only permanent solution and much better than a lifetime of antibiotics, draining, and feeling lousy.

4. Dear Warpy, I'M not with her, |
|
her 'fiance-to-be' IS! She's 24! Maybe her d***** father will hold her hands!
I will tell her that my Expert friend informed me that its the best way. Right now, she very uncomfortable/miserable/pained.
Thanks for the info.

5. My daughter had the surgery a few years ago. |
|
Her experience was that the surgery provided relief from a very uncomfortable condition. She just had to take it easy for a few days, but had no problems.

6. THANKS! My daughter had the surgery a few months ago, |
|
and seems to be fine. She had SEVERAL surgeries, so recovery took some time.
