So I needed to run errands and I was very hungry |
|
so went over to souplantation.
I took my vegies with nothing on them... and then went for the soups.
What could tomato basil have that would be bad for me? WHEAT...
Took only two spoonfuls of the tasty soup... I hope my tummy does not have a crazy reaction to it later on.
This is WHY I hate this allergy. Even things that look safe, ain't.
Yes, just a general gripe. Two spoonfuls may do a number, but oh well...

1. I stay away from any thickened soup |
|
but I'll confess right here to a pho addiction. That's the Vietnamese soup served in a washtub, full of veggies and whatever else you order. I always have to tell them to skip the wonton now, maybe just put in a few rice noodles, instead. They look at me like I'm crazy but they do it and it's never made me sick.
Eating out really is a pain in the ass. The safest places around here are the Thai restaurants, since their cuisine is centered around rice and doesn't use wheat, at all.
I even have an easier time than celiacs do. All I do is itch and wheeze. Eating wheat is life threatening for people with celiac disease.
