i've noticed that my blood sugar levels have been rising lately. nothing has really changed except for the stress resulting from all the "bad stuff" going on in the world now. i had stopped my glipizide as it was making me have some low lows (55), but this morning it was 119 fasting. usually, it's about 104, sometimes less, so guess it's back on the meds :(
any other diabetics having issues like this?

1. Talk to your doctor about having your serum Vitamin D checked. |
|
If it's low, that could be part of the problem.

funny you should mention that. i've started 800mg of D3 daily for the past week, but not for diabetic reasons. i'll see what happens, and if nothing changes, i'll bring it up to my doc. thanks for responding :hi:

3. Major life stress can have an effect |
|
but so can things like seasonal allergies and infections, so consider those as possible sources, too. Increasing your exercise over the short term can help knock it down, once you have the cause isolated and ruled out any physical stressors.

6. Emotional stress rockets my BG, but 119 ain't bad for many of us... |
|
I wish I that number at 5:30 am morning. I typically get a morning rise and then struggle all day to land near 100 by supper.
