what I was thinking. I'm going to call tomorrow and if he can't tell me something, I'm going to see about finding another Dr. It seems to me if they are thinking it might be malignant, they would want to biopsy it asap not wait a month.

had the biopsy yet. I was just referring to waiting for a month to have one scheduled by the Dr's office.

got in to see the other Dr and I am scheduled for another MRI of the kidney in the morning. They will decide if I'm a candidate for a procedure (rather than having surgery to remove the kidney) and if so they will do the biopsy at the same time. If I'm not eligible, then I guess I will have to have the surgery.

10. If they suspect malignancy, it sure as hell is. |

However, I've been hearing more and more stories about insurance company regulations stipulating certain waiting periods before biopsies and repeat scans and the like.
It's just more hoping the patient dies before expensive treatment can be scheduled and charged to the holy corporation.
Check with your doctor. This might be something you'll want to pay for out of pocket and then fight the damned insurance company over later.

exactly what I was thinking this morning, hoping the patient dies before....
I did find out I wasn't a candidate for that particular procedure and now I am waiting for another Dr in the practice to look at the scans to see if it can be done laparoscopically, which is what I am hoping.
