Does anybody know anything about cancer of the larynx?
My SO has just been diagnosed. He went in for what we thought would be a routine biopsy and they did a tracheotomy because his airway was becoming constricted. Surprise! He is now unable to talk or eat.

Anybody know where I might go for help/information?

Do we have any cancer experts on the board?

2. I'm a thyroid cancer survivor.

Not quite the same but close in proximity. What stage is the cancer? Has it metastasized or is it prone to doing this? I was forced to have a total tyroidectomy and lost one of my parathyroids as well. I must take medication for the rest of my life but other than that I am completely recovered except that my metabolism has been forever changed for the worse, but given the alternative I can deal with that. I am going to go through my cancer links and I will post the better ones.

Edit: None of my sites dealt with throat cancer directly but I found a few sites that seem informative.

Your SO will probably at the very least have to go through radiation treatment. I have done that as well but I did not need chemo.
