seems to be back to normal, after yesterday's flash of brilliance. hehe
I'll bet the M's take tomorrow's game, tho. Those other 6 or 7 guys have got to start hitting sooner or later.

Did you see the game at all?
I sure hope Justin Morneau is alright...no word since the CT scan.
We will not see you guys again until August. Go get those Angels and A's for me, will ya?

I hope he's all right too. That's all the postgame show was about. (Was hoping to catch it on the last news but missed it.)
We'll be plum fruit for the A's and Angles to pick unfortunately. Third game in before Boone gets his first hit, and they score a total of seven runs in three home games. More of the same, no offense. It wears the pitchers out.

| 9. Yeah, missing run support really does wear on the pitching staff |
|
Last year, Brad Radke should have had a better win loss record, but for no run support, he got a lot of losses and no decisions in very close games.

| 11. Yeah, Radke's a slowball pitcher too isn't he? |
|
Jamie Moyer is my favorite pitcher on the M staff. He's that guy whose fastball is maybe 80mph on a good day, but he's so crafty and sneaky that he makes the hitters look stupid.
Aren't you just thrilled that baseball's back?

| 12. Yes - I live for baseball season |
|
really I do!
Radke's fastball is in the mid to high 80s, so yes, he is a slow ball pitcher...he relies on flyouts and groundouts versus strikeouts. When he is on...no one can hit him...he has a filthy change up, but when he is off, they are flying out of the park on him.
Richie Sexson appears to have Bradke's number!
Jamie Moyer is a great pitcher. How is the rest of your staff? Is the bullpen the weak link?

| 15. We call Jamie's the "Bugs Bunny changeup" after |
|
that cartoon, you know, where the hitter can swing 20 times and still miss the thing. It is pure evil.
Jamie got bit by the HR bug last year too. Gave up 41 HRs last year. He had that no run support thing going on so he tried to be perfect.
On the staff, our number 1 is hurt (Piniero), and we have Sele and Nelson back. (I'm a little depressed right now aboutt he lack of offense. I'll probably feel better when we face the Rangers later this week.)

| 10. At least you have Richie Sexson, if he stays healthy! |
|
I just looked on the Twins site, and Justin Morneau's CT scan was negative for concussion and fracture...He will likely just have a nasty headache tomorrow...not sure when he will be back playing again (I was hoping to see him on Friday - I have tickets - but alas, he may still need the recovery time - especially since he has been sick a lot in the offseason with pneumonia and appendicitis)
Question: Is JJ Putz pronounce Poots or like it is spelled? (that would be a name I would change if I had the chance)

I try to be nice and give him the benefit of the doubt and go with Poots.
Glad to hear JM's okay. Just hope they've got a headshrinker working on him to get him back into the batter's box. Gotta get back on that horse.

I hope he is able to play at least by Sunday against the ChiSox. (I hate the ChiSox with every fiber of my being - this rivalry is almost as explosive as the Yanks-BoSox rivalry)
