| Poll question: Interleague play - Yes or No |
|
I am really torn on this one, I enjoy interleague play (especially when the Twins play the Cubs - my two favorite teams). However, I hate that because of interleague play, there is less balance as far as playing teams outside of one's division. For instance, last year, the Twins were done for the season with the Yankees (until the playoffs) by mid-May.

I like how before the only time the AL/NL met was in the World Series and to a lesser degree in the ALL-Star game.
MLB is the only sport where interleague play bothers me.

because that's how it use to be and you just can't deal with change? My guess is you would be fine with it if you weren't acustomed to it.

I like to see other teams I would not normally see and remakes of classic world series and parks I wouldnt normally see too. However, I liked the balance of playing the teams through out the year too.

playoffs (no one complains about other sports' AS games)
but it has really fucked with scheduling. Football does a nice job (as good as could be done) trying to balance it out by having everyone in one division playing one division.
Baseball needs to figure out how to work these in and get a schedule that makes sense. More games in your division, less against other divisions, and a handful against the other league. Even the AL's 13 against your division and 12 against the other was better than whatever they are doing now. Clean it up, make it right, and if interleague doesn't mess with the schedules too much, keep it.

MLB went to the unbalanced schedule a couple of years ago and I like it. More games against division rivals, just as the NFL does.
The old AL 13/12 setup prior to 1997 was terrible. An AL team played more games outside the division than within. And every year either Milwaukee or Detroit played most September games vs. the AL West.
