But I do agree that Macha is not the right guy for that club. He has looked overmatched from the start there.

perhaps even close to .500.
They always start out slow. I still think Beane is the second best GM in baseball (second to only Dave Dombrowski).
The only person to ever swindle Beane in a trade was my boy DD.

After yesterday's drubbing of the hated Giants, I think Oaktown is finally over their usual slow start, even if that terrible start did knock them out of contention this year.
That being said, I doubt that Beane will ever allow a strong, independent manager in Oakland. Macha...Howe...no difference, except Macha sits on occasion during the game.
