the Twins did win the division!
It was great, at the end of the Twins game today the Royals and Tigers were still playing in extra innings and hardly anyone left the Dome. The fans stayed in the stands and the Twins stayed in the dugout while the KC/Detroit game was broadcast into the Dome. It was very odd to hear "Let's go Royals" chanted in the Dome.
When KC won, the Twins had their celebration on the field and then they made the rounds of the Dome reaching up and shaking hands with fans who were in the first row of seats and were able to lean over the barriers to reach the players.
And, Mauer won the batting championship!

I have to admit I was rooting for the Tigers today because the Twins scare me in the first round - and the A's don't have a particularly good record in the first round so far this century.
Should be a fun, tough, well-fought series between our teams. Congrats on your division win...can't wait for Tuesday!

| 5. As a Twins fan, I am now rooting for the Tigers. |

The Tigers are very deserving, and I am amazed at what Jim Leyland has been able to accomplish in such a short time at the helm.

I think a big thing for the Tigers is having Rodriguez at catcher. Even though he's been there for several years now, he is a good catcher and a very experienced veteran.

| 8. It will get more active now. |

But I might as well add, Mauer won the 2006 batting championship, Morneau was MVP and Santana got the Cy Young Award. The Twins hit the trifecta!

| 9. Funny, the Cards were the only ones smiling about any of that. |
|
Twins looking at a great year ahead, though.
