| Three years ago today, my mom died. |

And I still miss her like crazy. A lot has happened in my life since then that I wish I could share with her.
Anyway, thanks for this group.

enjoy the wonderful memories. I always wonder if my Mum knows what I'm doing and where I've been.

| 2. Do you feel like she knows, but that it's the back and forth conversations |
|
that you are really missing? Because that is what I feel like. I am sure she is well aware of everything that happens to me and the rest of the family and the world in general. But I can't have that back and forth with her, and that really makes me sad.

Hoping this group can help me as well. Just lost my mother last Tuesday and have been in a terrible state of mind. It takes a long time before it gets easier. This i know from losing my father. Somehow having them both gone.......i feel very alone.

| 4. I can relate to that, feeling very alone. |

My mother died 2 years ago. I knew she wasn't in the best of health but didn't think I'd feel as alone as I do.
I hope this group can help me too.

| 6. Last time I was in a bookstore ... |
|
... I picked up a book I thought my father would like, and nearly bought it.
He died in 1996.
It's not just the sense of missing him. It's the sense of unreality. I still see him on the street occasionally. It's quite weird at times.

My mom died last year - the friday before the election was stolen. I have been pretty much down the last year, too. She was the other solid dem in the family - a great person and role model. When she found out she only had a few months left (she was in ICU) she told me to make sure she got an absentee ballot - the election was too important to miss. I know what you mean about wanting to share stuff - I hope you always keep the good memories and love close.
