My son suicided 5 weeks ago

My eldest son,Danny, hung himself 5 weeks ago. I found him in his workshop that we built for him. He had never attempted suicide before and did not leave a note. My husband and I are in therapy and are going to a suicide survivors group. At this point all I feel is a paralyzing sadness. I don't know how to live without my son..I don't know how to do this at all! Marie

Suicides are so hard, because they leave the survivors with so many unanswered questions. I am glad you're getting the help and support that you need, both privately and in group. These people will be your lifeline to sanity.

I'm doing okay, today. Tuesday would have been Danny's 34th birthday. We had a Shamen out to the house to do a healing ceremony and to celebrate his life. Of course I still want my baby back but she really helped {for now anyway}

14. I Am So Sorry

This is my first visit to this forum and my eyes focused on the title of your thread. Suicide is such a hard death to deal with. My husband's brother committed suicide on December 16, 2004. We still have a hard time this time of year. Losing a son must be more painful than what I can imagine. I am so sorry.

It is difficult beyond belief. I always said if something happened to one of my boys, that
I would die, but here I am, 3 months later. Not that I want to be mind you, I just don't have a choice. Many nights I have "prayed" that I wouldn't wake up but wake up I do. My youngest son {31} told me if I do what his brother did he will never forgive me. And I have made him promise the same. So we all cling to each other and do the best we can.
I am so sorry aabout your brother-in-law. May he rest in peace.
