I'm so excited! I haven't ridden since November, when I was bike commuting to work. But my teaching/tutoring schedule changed so much this spring that I haven't been able to ride to work, which means I haven't been able to ride at all. I had hopes of riding this summer but because we're going to Germany in July, I had to take a 5.5-week class on the other side of town if I was going to teach at all. Even then, I was going to try to figure out a way to ride, maybe by doing a partial commute.
Anyway, yesterday, a teacher had to drop a class at my regular campus and it was given to me! And it's not until noon so I will have plenty of time to ride to campus and get cleaned up (I'm not a morning person!) and still ride home when I get off at 8 p.m. (I'll be home by 9:30 so will only need my lights toward the end.) An added bonus is it's only M-Th instead of M-F like the other class.
I'm hopeful that getting back into the swing of things this summer will allow me to keep it going when my classes begin at 9:10 a.m. in the fall. :)
Now I'm motivated to get my bike in shape and get some practice runs in to get back in shape! :hi:

But if we have a chance to rent some bikes and ride around, we'll do it!
We're hoping to take an Alaskan cruise in August and I'd really like to do some riding there. :hi:
