Searching for help with vibration |
|
I have an almost new bike (24 speed Hybrid). And I am noticing several vibrations and things. Some I can live with. The front fender is noisy, ok.
But as I pedal I feel a vibration each down stroke. Its the same no matter what gear I am in. This is really disturbing me. All I can think of to make this happen is something wrong in the crank, which seems alarming to me.
Then, when I get into upper gears, say the largest chainring and the 2 smallest rear cogs, I get a new and alarming noisy noise. Only while pedaling.
anyone have any helpful ideas for me?

5. Stuff can rattle loose, and cables stretch |
|
After a month, it's best to have the LBS give it a good going over. Then perhaps after another 3 months.
Beyond that, it depends how much you ride.

4. I think I have figured it out |
|
I think that it has something to do with the chain tension as I pedal at certain speeds. I test drove another new one, different brand similar style, and it has the same vibration in the same way.

6. Sounds like your derailleurs need adjustment. |
|
They can be finicky beasts, and the cheaper ones are almost impossible to dial in perfectly.
What kind of bike/components do you have?
