I've been taking black cohosh caps to get a grip on my headaches and hot flashes, and am wondering if it's got diuretic tendencies?
Not to be TMI, but it seems like on days that I take it ... I get diharrea and am spending most of my day running to the bathroom. :(

but the one thing that makes a big difference is taking over 1000mgs of evening primrose oil twice a day. Evening Primrose oil works even better than chemical estrogen IMHO. I didn't' have any of the side effects you've had when I took Black Cohosh though.

I tried black cohosh and found it gave me little relief from hot flashes. I also thought it seemed to make me have to use the bathroom more often.
Soy has worked wonders for me. I use Estroven because the soy is organic, not genetically modified. (If it doesn't say organic, you can almost assume the soy is GMO.) There is another organic soy product I've heard great reviews on, called Revival although it seems pricey and I haven't tried it.
I had tried every herb rumored to help hot flashes but got no relief until I used soy daily.
