I remember that she was excited about going to Houston to M.D. Anderson Hospital and getting treatment.
My sister (now deceased from cancer, most ironically) was the assistant to the Chief of Pathology, Dr. Lukeman. My sister and my mother were both treated there. My mother survived, my sister did not.
I reassured her that it was absolutely top-notch.
