Inflammation of the breast tissue: Question. |
|
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm going through this now (and for the last few months). I have a surgery consult tomorrow. Possible tissue damage to the duct, under the nipple, and maybe the surrounding tissue. Antibiotics didn't work. So, maybe tissue /duct removal...maybe not. Maybe breast removal/maybe not. I'll know more tomorrow.
I get regular mammograms. Had an abnormal one. Got the ultra-sound. Meds didn't work. Was supposed to get another mammogram in 6 months but that was moved up because the doctor feels I need it now...so I'm doing that too. (surgery consult/mammogram/ultra-sound) They'll compare old films to new films. Going to be a long day tomorrow.
I'm worried but more than a little angry. My body has become my enemy. Had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. Follow-ups have all been clean.
I mainly want to know what to expect from someone who has been through this...no medical advice. ('cause that's against the rules)
Thanks for listening!!!

1. If you read this, Thank you. My mammogram was moved to Friday. |

The surgeon is turning me over to a team of experts in breast diseases and cancers. He'll send them all my records and new films.
So...I wait.
Thanks, again!
