We're having the family over today, including my husband's dad and step-mother. His mother died in 1985 and his dad remarried a wonderful woman that we both love. She had two sons but one died of cancer a couple of years ago and the other lives in Houston 150 miles away so we try to be good kids! :D

I've decided to tell each of my kids that, in the future, the only thing I want for Mother's Day is a visit or a phone call. It's tough trying to come up with presents for adult parents. I've got everything I need and if I don't, I buy it! They can still get me birthday and Christmas presents but I'd rather have the contact on Mother's Day.
