Starting to see lines...(I'm 31). So what does everyone else do? I moisturize everyday and use a ex-foliating scrub every other day. Night cream I'm lazy about. Any suggestions or products?

1. I can't really help... |

I use soap and water, and lotion only when my skin feels dry. Sorry.

I take Evening Primrose oil (really helped my PMS), one 1000mg capsule twice daily, and the same for Fish Oil (molecularly distilled). I also take coconut oil, 1/2 tsp daily. (With the latter, start slowly and work your way up to 3 tbsp daily. Too much too soon can cause diarrhea).
Also, make sure to drink lots of water and avoid caffeine. Hydration is very important, and I've found that working from the inside out provides much more of a solution than applying lots of cream (which I used to do, and expensive stuff, too).
My skin feels like a baby's bottom, and I'll be 39 in a couple of months. Mind you, I've also avoided the sun throughout most of my life, so I have fewer lines than many my age (I think not having kids makes for fewer lines as well. .)
The lines will come, whatever you do. I don't get too stressed over them anymore.

I was looking for other solutions besides creams. I do try to avoid caffiene(because it is linked to osteoporsis. Now I have to work on the water and check out my healthfood store!

that there are combination oils, ie omega 3-6-9 supplements that would be good, too. I just need the Evening Primrose Oil separately for my menstrual problems (which have lessened significantly since I started taking them). I've found that was the right dosage for me.
Whichever you decide to get (them in combination or separately), you can tell if you have enough when your skin is starting to look and feel healthy and 'plumped'.
Another way to get good fats is to grind flax seeds and put it on your cereal. I grind them in a coffee grinder and freeze them so the oils won't go rancid. I do this as an addition to the above supplements.

Here is what I do religiously:
Everyday, no matter what, broad-spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen when I go outside. I have done this for years and it seems to have paid off.
Wash face with tepid water and a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil.
I use a super-concentrated antioxidant serum I get from Paula's Choice (make up for women who don't want to pay a lot and want to get state-of-the-art cosmetics).
AHAs twice a week at night.
Drink lots (lots and lots) of water.
One multivitamin a day.

7. Paula Begoun has some cool stuff |
|
on her website, I use the antioxidant stuff too. Her stuff is cheap, non-fragranced, and pretty darned good.

Just checked her site, looks informative and I'm always looking for decent prices on products.

found in any health food store. :)
Also, rosehip oil, powerful source of vitamin C.
Continue the exfoliating, and see what glycolic products they have at the store. Moisturizing doesn't prevent lines.
