Do you ever feel completely and totally unappreciated?
I work.
I can cook.
I sew.
I garden.
I manage the family books.
I make everyone's doctor appts...

I make everything work when my husband is in his "crunch" times...

But recently things went askew and when I needed something I basically got treated as if my needs were completely and utterly worthless.

1. Stick to Your Guns
I don't know your situation, or how it was handled, or whether or not it's too late to do anything about it.

Regardless, I'd let it be known I had a beef and should be able to expect more in the future when I had a need.

2. I am sticking to my guns
but I am still shocked at how I was treated when I needed help.

It was as if the one time I need help I became a burden....

3. man oh man i know what you mean
when i for the first time reached out for help they all looked at me as though i were contagious. i was devastated after being the strong one helping everyone whenever they needed it.
after the initial shock wore off, i became aware of the dynamics of my "circle" of family and friends. i was the hub of the wheel that turned.
this is three whole years later. and i can still taste the bitterness of that truth, though i have moved passed it.
stick to your guns little sister.
peace and love

4. I've had the same problem for many years.
My family is not appreciative, and made me feel worthless at times.

For me, the "cure" was becoming involved in progressive politics as an activist and also as a writer. My friends and professional colleagues both locally and nationally have given me encouragement and strength.

If you're not receiving support and validation for your efforts at home, I suggest becoming involved in another activity that you care about, where you can get positive feedback for your efforts.

Everyone needs to feel wanted and appreciated!

6. problem is that
I was encouraged to be active and do everything under the sun...but in the end I pay for it dearly...

As I said above, it is getting better but I am still very hurt by the attitude...
