I've been on it over 6 years and no one ever told me about the "black box" warning, regarding issues of reduced bone density. My last shot was back in August, but I stopped getting it (hubby got the big V, thank God) when I was due in October. I stopped having a period during the entire time I was on it - which seemed great at the time. My concern: will I ever get my period again? Have I screwed my system up so bad that I will go from that straight to menopause (I'm 40 now)? I haven't seen this addressed on the boards before, so I'm asking because I'm starting to get worried... Any other ladies with Depo stories they care to share? BTW: I'm back with my OB/GYN, but not until 2/9. -- "The Waiting is the Hardest Part" - Tom Petty Thanks! --Speedway Democrat

and i didn't know about the warning either.
i also didn't have a period during that time either. i stopped taking mine in december and switched to the nuvaring due to pressure from my best friend who was worried about what the shot could be doing to me. i have not had a period yet either so i have no idea. i know that women who stopped taking depo because they wanted to get pregnant were warned that the effects could last up to 6 months. i don't know if this means the "no period" effect or what.
