I really missed smoking this weekend. |
|
With the change in season, I immediately began to reflect on all the enjoyable summer activities that smoking was a part of. It is still summer, and those activities are still enjoyable without smoking.
My regrets about not smoking this weekend would only have been surpassed by my regrets if I had.
Good luck everybody.

1. Yep... Many Social Activities Still Make Me Want To Smoke. |
|
Bars and restaurants especially. Also when camping and sitting around the campfire with family and friends... telling stories... getting drunk... and "HEY! Where are my cigarettes? Oh yeah, that's right, I quit!"
It's not that I really WANT, CRAVE or NEED a cigarette right then... it's just a mental "trigger" that I automatically associate those events with smoking.
The urge to smoke is very weak however, and it passes very quickly.

when I'm:
Drinking beer
Drinking Coffee
After a few hours of very hard work
When I smell it
When I'm confronted with one of those situations, the desire flames up....

I quit about 2 and a half months ago. My husband and I went to my mom's last weekend. She and my brother's girlfriend smoke. Just walking into the house was enough to make me fall off the wagon. How many times have we just sat around talking and gossiping and (of course) smoking. Brought back memeories. When it was all over, I am very very happy that I did not smoke myself.
