No summer yet for the northeast... extreme heat in SW


7 days from now... is that still 50 and drizzle in new england? yep.

Is that 90s+ in Arizona? Yep.

I would request a switch.

Speaking of a switch... maybe the NAO at some point? No?


So... that "warm" spell we had up here was a whole 2 weeks of +NAO? That's just fucking depressing.

Okay... so is that a flip in around 2 weeks?


No... the PNA is even worse news:


It has that dip the NAO has, but then the PNA (we want that high) dips again in 2 weeks.


What does this mean?

No continuing summer pattern for at least 2 weeks in New England... possibly all of the northeast.
All we can hope for is like 2 days of SW winds. We'll see. There may be a Noreaster next weekend or early next week too.
Pathetic.
