| I have another website that would help a lot of researchers |
|
I suppose most of you have this but if you don't.
www.usgenweb.com then it is broken down into states and then counties. These have information posted by residents who have researched and verified a lot of the info. It also gives things like I posted, marriages from the archives, births, deaths and land records, wills etc. So it might be worth a look see.

I was looking on the Erie County, Pennsylvania GenWeb for anything to help me find some information on a GG Grandmother, but the site was pretty bare. I wrote to the person whose email was listed on the site. I asked him about my GG Grandmother and her parents. When he was a kid, he mowed the grass growing over their grave sites, and he gave all the information on their graves plus the graves of my GG Grandmother's siblings. On the Saunders County, Nebraska GenWeb, I found three generations of my ancestors. Some amazing people had transcribed all the grave yards in Saunders County. The GenWebs are wonderful because of all the amazing people who contribute to them.
