| Does anybody have Ancestry?? |
|
I have Firefox. And everytime I get on Ancestry for 1/2 hour or more, what happens is I get kicked off line. It is the only site where this happens. It says FoxFire has encountered a problem and must close down. And that they are notifying Foxfire of the problem. It does it every time... I am disgusted with this...just as I get started it crashes.

That doesn't happen to me. I refuse to use IE for anything unless forced to.

with the way the page looked with Opera. I wrote them emails complaining and said I wouldn't renew unless they made the pages viewable in browsers other than IE, which I refuse to use. They fixed the problem for Opera, which is a browser that isn't used by as many people who use FireFox, so I'd suggest you complain. You pay for it, why shouldn't you be able to use the browser of your choice. If it was free, well they could make their sites especially for a certain browser, but if you pay for it, they better alter it to fit your browser.
I had lots of problems with Foxfire for a while. It was crashing left and right. This happened right after a MS Windows update on my computer's operating system. I of course hate Microsoft, so they are number one suspect. I deleted every browser except Opera, which is the browser of my choice. I went through my registry and deleted every reference to Mozilla, since both IE and Firefox are based on Mozilla. (Opera is a completely different system). I then reinstalled Firefox and it works perfectly. Whatever MS added to my registry to keep Firefox crashing was eliminated.
